There's a note in one of the watchtowers by Shor's Stone that always does it for me. Not only that, sometimes data on certain items gets corrupted and will cause a CTD whenever they're activated as well. The trick is just reducing it's frequency. You will inevitably have a CTD at some point in time. Keep in mind, however, that Skyrim's engine is fairly unstable to begin with compared to most other games, and adding lots of mods just exacerbates the problem. The main solution is to increase the amount of memory the game initially allocates, and a quick search on the Nexus and the STEP forums for memory patches and tweaks will lead you to a good mod for that. Unfortunately Skyrim sucks at this and just CTD's when it fails to allocate the memory. The other half is used for everything, and when it filled up, the game engine is supposed to allocate 256 more mb to help contain all of the data. ![]() Skyrim only allocates 512mb of memory, 256 of which is used to temporarily garbage data. That actually clears it up and is easily diagnosed. You should have mentioned that you were getting CTD's while running. Game is running from a Samsung SSD aswell Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 980 (4GB VRAM if I remember correctly) I know I am a modding noob and my load order is probably full of load issues and my mod list is probably full of mods that are making issues but I was wondering if you could take a look and try to help me, I like my mods but I dont have my heart set on all of them, I need to make this work better as I am recording Skyrim for youtube :) I am using Mod Organizer, LOOT, SKSE, ENBoost, Wrye Bash and TESVEdit I followed the beginners guide and did everything that was said there. So the issues, I downloaded all the mods now and made a new game, about 8 hours into playing I started getting CTD, game freezing and fps drops. Here are the images of my load order and mod list I really tried to upload to Modwatch but for some reason it did not work so I took screenshots instead of a text wall See the rules page for more information.Screenshots in the context of asking for help are acceptable. Please take your screen archery to /r/SkyrimPorn.
